Conditions re classes 85, 86 and 87.  Exhibitor must be a member of Irish Angus Society.  Animals must be registered in Society Herd Book.  Late registered animals (over 60 days) not eligible.  2 bulls from each class may go forward to final at Iverk.  Breeders may qualify only 2 animals in each class for final.  Animals will be weighed (45 kgs. plus 1.70 per day).  Prize money (€150) for qualified animals will be paid on appearance at final. 

CLASS 88   Angus Championship, open to 1st and 2nd prize winners. Champion will be awarded Three Tunn Perpetual Trophy and €40.  Reserve will receive €25. The Irish Aberdeen Angus Association will present the Champion Aberdeen Angus with a special Commemorative Medal.  The animal must be registered in the AA Herdbook and be exhibited by a member of AA Cattle Society.

CLASS 89   Beef Champion, open to champion and reserve champion in Hereford, Belgian Blue, Charolais, Limousin, Salers, Simmental, Angus and Commercial. Champion will be awarded P. Ryan, Tipperary Cup and €40.  Reserve will receive €25

CLASS 103   Special Foal Class for Foals by a Reg. Dt. Sire.  Name of sire required.  The progeny of mares entered in class 102.  Name and R.I.D. No. of sire to be stated. 1st Prize €100 and Ned Campbell Perpetual Trophy; 2nd Prize €75; 3rd Prize €50    . Entry Fee €12   

CLASS 104   The Irish Draught Colt Foal Qualifier 1. Entries are confined to Irish Draught Colt Foals eligible to be registered, if not already registered in the Irish Horse Register.  2. Foals must be the progeny of a class 1 (ID), or class 2 Irish Draught mare & by a stallion that is classified as CLASS 1/Class 2/ RID (GB) RID (Can)//Grade 2 (GB).  If the foal’s passport is not to hand, the mare’s passport must be ready for inspection.  Failure to comply will lead to disqualification. Entry Fee €10; to the final €20  at Ballinasloe Show on Sun. 23rd Sept.

CLASS 105  The Coolgreen Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the best R.I.D. or A.I.D. mare with foal at foot by a Registered Irish Draught Sire.  Points to be divided equally between the mare and foal.  No entry required

CLASS 106  The Irish Draught 2 year old Filly Qualifier  1, Entries are confined to 2 year old fillies registered in the Irish Horse Register with the breed codes ID; Fillies must be sired by a stallion that is classified as CLASS 1/CLASS 2/RID (GB )/ RID (CAN)/GRADE 2 (GB).  Fillies must have both sire and dam recorded on their passports.  2. Exhibitors to both the qualifier and final must have their animal’s passport available for inspection prior to entry to judging ring.  Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification. Entry Fee to qualifying show €10, to final at Limerick Show, Sun. 26th August, €20

CLASS 143  Young Handler Class will be judged on the ability of the handler to present and show the pony to the best advantage.  Ponies entered in this class must also be entered in the relevant riding class on the same day.  The Young Handler Class is for ponies 4 year old and over to be shown In-Hand by children 8 to under 13 years on the 1st of January of current year.  Handlers must wear the correct dress with the correct jacket, including the recommended hat.  The marking sheet will include the types of pony, i.e. show pony and show hunter pony. 1st Prize €50, 2nd Prize €30, 3rd Prize €20    Entry Fee €10

Quality Onion All Ireland Qualifier A dish of 5 Autumn or Spring sown onions, any variety, The onions may be grown from either seed or sets.  The variety to be correctly named.  Each onion must be tied and weigh not more than 450 grams.  The onions to be harvested and have clear unbroken skins.  The competition will be judged as follows: - Condition/Quality: 25 points;  Uniformity and shape 25 points;  Size/weight 10 points:  Colour 10 points;  Overall Presentation/Attractiveness 10 points.  Entry Fee €3 to qualifying Show;  Final €6 at Moate Show Sun. 26th Aug.
